Kristie and I frequently disagree about webpages1. It's not so much the content as the amount of time I spend generating the content. She often can't even tell the difference in a page that I've just spent an hour tweaking2. She almost never likes it when I say "Just two more minutes" or "I've just got to do one last thing.
Today, that all changed. Kristie has been building a website for a school project. She's been working on it off and on for weeks, but today was her last big push to get it done. She started at about noon. She's still at it and it's now a little after midnight. She's been tweaking this and perfecting that for hours now. She even said it didn't seem like it had been that long.
I've finally converted my wife to the Geek side.
- Not the ones I surf (well, except cruel.com) but the ones I build.
- Truthfully sometimes only a real geek could see the difference.
