Claw Machine

The bowling alley, in an attempt to boost their revenue, had a number of arcade games including two different claws.

Dr. Beast immediately endeared himself to three young bowlers (not with the wedding party) when he walked up and won them the mini-basketball they'd been trying to get. In a display of humility, he claimed it was just luck and that ball machines were harder.

Over the course of the next several hours, he took several prizes1 from the other machine, not even attempting the ball machine again. After a time, our nephew Anthony expressed some interest in the mini-basketballs. Ron made several attempts but, to the suprise of everyone but himself, was unable to get another mini-ball.

Luckily, while he was trying it Anthony became distracted by the driving game and never noticed he was leaving the lanes basketball-free.

  1. We're not saying he did it all at our wedding, but when Ron bought his own claw machine he was able to fully stock it from the numerous (several garbage bags full) animals he'd won in the past.
