Snuggles' ESP

Over time, it has become clear that Snuggles can see the future. We know that she resents anyone who diverts Kristie's time and attention away from her, but there is one situation where she goes completely nuts. Any time Steve and Kristie touch each other, Snuggles becomes agitated. Hand-holding leads to panting, kissing leads to growling, we aren't going to tell you¹ what leads to barking, but you can probably guess. Other people are allowed to touch Kristie² without Snuggles becoming so excited. We've come to the only reasonable conclusion - she somehow knows that what we're up to might lead to kids and less attention for her. Is it ESP? You be the judge.
