Shelves

They're pretty straightforward and based on a simple plan. Because they're mostly for boxes, Steve got Home Depot to cut two sheets of plywood into thirds, then he and his dad cut a foot off a bunch of 7 footers that were laying around his dad's place.

Steve nailed them together in his driveway - four 2x4 uprights and three 1x3 stringers at 24" intervals. He carefully measured the first one, then laid the second one out next to the first one hoping to use it as a guide. Luckily, he realized he was building a chain of uprights before he got too far and inverted the completed unit before starting over.

Kristie arrive after he'd stocked the first 48 square feet and while he was hanging the second set. She got a good laugh when he got his nipple stuck in a shelf as he banged it down into place.

The shelves aren't full yet, but the garage cleaning isn't done either. It does look a lot better.
