Yardwork

We had loose plans to go to D-A today but we wound up not doing it because my knee is still mostly shot. I'm good on level surfaces and short distances, but a day on the tree farm would probably be disastrous.
Still, Kristie already had her shearing groove on so we wound up doing some yardwork today. We weeded out the flower beds along the front and side of the house including some weeds that Kristie described as "gross".
For good measure, we cleaned out our gutters (yuck!) and pounded a couple of loose nails back in.
The capstone though was trimming the hedges. Even though she wasn't allowed to use her beloved machete, Kristie did an excellent job and we no longer appear to be growing untended vegetation in an urban area (psuedo-druid style).
