Adding a page

So I added this blog page, but careful observers have probably noticed a couple of things. First, it's way wider than the typical blog entry; I really ought to make two columsn her or something for readability.
Second, you can only reach it from the main page. That might not seem like a big deal at first, but it underscores a bigger problem. This site was created more than 5 years ago. Since them, my web-fu has gotten much stronger. it is clear tht this site needs a rewrite, but there are so many sites that need a rewrite it's hard to pick which one to do first.
So anyone got a suggestion?
