Broken Prenup
On Friday we decided to see a movie. There wasn't anything that really appealed to Kristie, so she agreed to go see Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which had been recommended by one of Steve's friends.
Without spoiling the movie, it's safe to say that Kristie was not happy with the ending. She began complaining about Steve breaking the prenup, saying that he had promised not to make her watch movies with bad endings.
Steve took his lumps and kept his mouth shut for the most part. Once in a while, he'd say he thought it shouldn't count since he hadn't known how it ended either. Kristie granted him no mercy.
Then, on Sunday, he actually read the prenup. It turned out that it didn't say he wouldn't make Kristie see movies with bad endings. It actually said she promised not to complain if he made her watch movies with bad endings.
Steve has been assured by many of his more experienced friends (ie, they've been married longer) that he's still wrong and Kristie will explain exactly why if he doesn't keep his mouth shut, but some lessons have to be learned the hard way1.
