What's up with that whole picture disclaimer thing?

Pictures turned out to be a very big deal in Kristie's family, way more than they ever were in Steve's family. There appears to be some kind of competition to have the best or most pictures and we really don't want to feed what we think of as the madness¹.

Aren't you worried about offending people with some of those stories?

Well, maybe. On the other hand, it does quell that whole rumor about Steve being too quiet, right? And Steve's family is definitely used to his sense of humor and one of the things they like best about Kristie is that she doesn't take their crap, so we're hopeful. Plus, someday we plan to have cute kids.

So were there pornographic or embarassing pictures of family members on your site or what?

Nope. They were just regular pictures, without any captions or identifying remarks. Some people objected to their kids being up here without them giving permission; other people apparently wanted to give us a hard time just because they could. Someday we'll put the pictures we have permission to post back up.

 

1. They're just pictures, make some copies and spread 'em around, that way if your dog eats the photo album you can replace them.
